The environment and local ecosystems can be fragile systems and contamination is not something that can be taken lightly. In the event of an accident involving dangerous chemicals or that a leaking oil tank on your property, Peniel Environmental has a fully qualified staff that will execute a comprehensive plan for soil and ground water remediation in a timely, cost effective manner.
We provide a complete soil and groundwater remediation process that begins with the removal of the source of the contamination. Peniel Environmental will remove your underground storage tank in accordance with all state and federal regulations. In most cases, we will delineate to determine the extent of the contamination and if there has been an impact to ground water as well as soil. Contaminated soil is removed from your property and disposed at a licensed soil disposal facility.
Once it is believed that all contaminated soils have been removed, soil samples are taken from the excavation to confirm the integrity of the soil. Soil samples are sent to an NHDES certified lab for analysis and the excavation is backfilled with certified clean fill up to rough grade.
We help protect the water supply.
If ground water is encountered during excavation activities, a ground water investigation must be conducted according to NHDES regulations. Typically, ground water investigations are conducted through the homeowner’s insurance carrier because it is generally considered a third party liability claim. Peniel Environmental will work closely with the insurance company’s consulting firm to determine the ground water quality and steps for remediation when necessary.
